Balance-Exercises After Cancer Treatments
Balance Exercises Help After Cancer Treatments
By Suzanne Stoke, Physical Therapist @ Exercise For Balance via www.exerciseforbalance.com Balance exercises are found to be very helpful following treatments for various types of cancer. Please see http://www.exerciseforbalance.com/buy-now Many times the treatments for cancer include various medication that can cause different side effects. Some of the more powerful cancer medication negatively effects the inner ear vestibular organ by reducing the number and activity of the hair cells. The hair cells in the inner ear are needed to help us with balance and orientation. Damage to the inner ear hair cells can cause dizziness and lightheadedness. Furthermore, without effectively functioning hair cells, we also suffer with balance problems.Balance Exercises Needed After Cancer Treatments
Balance exercises are vitally important to perform after cancer treatments to combat the effects of dizziness and balance problems. By practicing equilibrium exercises everyday, research has proven that an individual can enhance their balance abilities. Stability routines also assist in advancing the timing of balance reactions at the feet and ankles. Stability exercises enhance leg strength. Performing equilibrium exercise can also diminish symptoms of dizziness.Balance Exercises In The Exercise For Balance DVD

Senior Balance Exercises For Cataracts
Senior Balance Exercises And Cataracts
By Suzanne Stoke, Physical Therapist @ Exercise For Balance via www.exerciseforbalance.com Senior Balance exercises are important to perform for older people as they develop cataracts. Our balance system relies primarily on our sense of vision to help maintain our stability and prevent falls with standing and moving activities. Cataracts, however, can affect our vision, resulting in balance problems. A cataract is a clouding of the normally clear lens of your eye. For those people who have cataracts, seeing through cloudy lenses is similar to looking through a frosty or fogged-up window. The clouded vision caused by cataracts can make activities much more difficult. As an example, cataracts make it harder to read, drive a car or balance while standing and walking. Additionally, cataracts can make it more challenging to find your foot placement when going up and down stairs or on and off a curb. With impaired vision from cataracts, it is critical to practice balance exercises every day to learn how to use the other sensory input to improve balance abilities. Please see http://www.exerciseforbalance.com/buy-nowSenior Balance Exercises For Poor Vision
Senior Balance exercises can help compensate for poor vision. Our balance system uses the sense of touch from her feet and the floor, the sensory feedback from our inner ear vestibular system and our vision during our balancing tasks. Balance training can teach each individual how to use sensory feedback from their feet to become more stable and to reduce the risk of falling when they are up moving around. Now there is excellent balance instruction available in a home DVD that can teach you how to maximize your sensory feedback from your feet to become more stable with all standing and walking activities.Senior Balance Exercises In The Exercise For Balance DVD

Balance-Exercises And Bunions
Balance Exercises For Bunions
By Suzanne Stoke, Physical Therapist At Exercise For Balance via www.exerciseforbalance.com Balance exercises can help with those painful bunions on your feet. A bunion is an abnormal, bony bump that forms on the biggest joint at the base of your big toe. Bunions form when your big toe pushes up against your other toes, forcing your big toe joint in the opposite direction, away from normal position of your foot. Over time, the abnormal positioning enlarges your big toe joint, pressing on your other toes and causing pain. Bunions can occur from wearing shoes that are too tight around the toes, having flat feet or low arches or wearing high heels. With the resulting joint stiffness and foot pain, the person’s balance abilities diminished secondary to the fact that our balance system relies extensively on the information from our feet and ankles to help a stay upright. Please see http://www.exerciseforbalance.com/buy-nowBalance Exercises Help With Bunions
Balance exercises can help with the practice of off loading body weight through the big toe joint where a painful bunion is located. Typically, the bunion increases foot pain on the medial side of the foot, arch and heel, forcing the person to shift their body weight more laterally to the outside of their feet. By shifting weight laterally, the person loses their center balance point, which decreases their balance abilities and increases their risk for falling. Balance routines and balance techniques can help the individual learn to shift their weight in a slowed and controlled manner with minimal foot pain and maximal balance skills.Balance Exercises In The Exercise For Balance DVD

Balance –Exercises For Foot Pain
Balance Exercises Help Foot Pain
By Suzanne Stoke, Physical Therapist @ Exercise For Balance via www.exerciseforbalance.comBalance exercises and balance training can be one of the solutions to help decrease nagging foot pain. Our feet and ankles play a vital role in our balance abilities with both standing and walking activities. All too often however, we experience pain in our feet which throws off our center balance point, thereby diminishing our stability and putting us at risk for falls and injuries. Foot pain can occur in several locations including the toes, especially if they are arthritic or if bunions are present. Foot pain can also reside in the arch, secondary to plantar fasciitis. Bone spurs can also cause deep and debilitating pain in the heel. With each of these painful conditions, the person shifts his weight off the area of discomfort which results in throwing the individual’s center balance point off. Balance-Exercises For Pregnancy
Balance Exercises Help With Pregnancy
By Suzanne Stoke, Physical Therapist @ Exercise For Balance via www.exerciseforbalance.com Balance exercises are helpful during those long months of pregnancy. Throughout the nine months of pregnancy, a woman's body goes through many, many changes. As the baby develops and a woman's abdomen grows, there is a natural shifting of the body's balance point anteriorly. In normal situations, having a person's balance point centered through the midline of the body maximizes balance abilities and reduces the risk of falling. As a woman's pregnancy progresses, however, her anterior balance position can throw her stability off, resulting in a greater risk for falling and sustaining injuries. Please see http://www.exerciseforbalance.com/buy-nowBalance Exercises Are Key During Pregnancy
Learning balance exercises and balance techniques help pregnant women control their body’s weight shifting during dynamic movements such as walking, stair climbing, cleaning house and numerous other activities. Practicing balance ROUTINES on a daily basis also enhances balance skills and enables women to maintain stability during challenging activities. Equilibrium training can also be a great way to take time out and to remind pregnant women to bring into balance their busy lives with family, work and personal needs.

Progress Balance Training With Eye Exercises
Progress Balance Training With Eye Exercises
By Suzanne Stoke, Physical Therapist @ Exercise For Balance via www.exerciseforbalance.com Balance training is an excellent adjunct to your daily health routines like good nutrition, adequate water intake, brushing and flossing your teeth and participating in some form of exercise. Taking care of one’s self is more and more important as we age. Balance training can begin on a basic level like learning stabilization techniques. Balance exercises can advance by various means including adding more difficult eye exercises. Please see http://www.exerciseforbalance.com/buy-nowEye Exercises Make Balance Training More Challenging
Since the three components of balance training include vision, sensory feedback from the feet and ankles, and input from the inner ear vestibular system, you can easily make your balance routines more difficult by changing any one of these dynamics. For balancing, our brain uses visual input as the primary sense for maintaining our equilibrium. Changing visual input, therefore, can advance stability exercises, to maximize your balance abilities. One example of advancing eye exercises is to combine standing with one foot in front of the other while you move your eyes side to side. Next, you can make your balance training more difficult by standing on one foot while reading a magazine article. These are just some simple suggestions of ways you can progress your balance routines and advanced your balance abilities. You can take your advanced balance skills outdoors by walking on trails and enjoying the beauty around you.Balance Training In The Exercise For Balance DVD
