As summer unfolds, it is great to be outside enjoying activities like Bocci Ball, which can be enhanced by developing good stability with balance exercises. Please see   http://www.exerciseforbalance.com/buy-now One of the great aspects about summer is getting together with family and friends for barbeques, picnics and sports games at the beach, park, or nearest hiking trail. For these events, it is essential to practice balance exercises beforehand to establish excellent steadiness to handle any uneven ground of unexpected movements. One example of the need for good stability includes walking on the thick sand on the beach to play Bocci Ball. Bocci Ball is a super fun game, born out of Italian leisure time, where teams of two or individuals of four throw a small lead ball as the target and follow with throwing the larger, heavier ball as close as possible to the small lead ball ( called the "chuck"). Bocci Ball can become increasingly more challenging and fun when varying terrain is added to the equation. when playing at the beach, you can face obstacles such as piles of seaweed, sand castles, beach chairs or holes dug by eager youths. Additionally, playing Bocci Ball at the beach can involve having the ball roll long distances along the flat, hard sand down by the water in comparison with the thick, soft sand further inland at the beach. Consequently, the terrain and footing can be varied and challenging for individuals who struggle with their balance. Additionally, throughout the game, players are required to not only throw weighted Bocci balls but also lean over to pick up the different weighted Bocci balls, which again requires exceptional stability, especially in the uneven sand. As a result, it is essential to rehearse stability techniques and balance exercises before attempting a game of Bocci Ball at the beach.

Balance Exercises For Beach Activities

The first step for enjoying beach activities safely is to practice balance exercises as part of a regular routine. As an example, you can rehearse standing on one foot on a soft or uneven surface like a couch cushion or balance board. While standing On uneven surface, you will notice that your ankles wiggle quite a bit. That movement at your feet and ankles is a natural balance reaction that your body does to adjust to varying terrain. Consequently, it is easy to develop strong and fast balance reactions by performing equilibrium routines on balance apparatus like balance boards or  cushions. Another important stability exercise involves learning to control your body's weight shifting, which will enable you to pick things up from the ground like a Bocci Ball safely and without falling. You can learn to control your moving body weight by standing with your feet shoulder width a part and shifting your weight forwards and backwards or side to side. You can develop these stability techniques and follow along with appropriate balance exercise in the Exercise For Balance DVD, developed by an experienced Physical Therapist. by
