Nik Wallenda demonstrated his awesome balance training on a high wire above Chicago this weekend. Please see      http://www.exerciseforbalance.com/buy-now On Sunday record-breaking daredevil  Nik Wallenda completed a blindfolded tightrope walk in downtown Chicago. He accomplished his most challenging feat to date. He shimmed along a tightrope, completing a walk between two skyscrapers 600 feet above downtown Chicago, partly blindfolded. The death defying walk  consisted of two parts, starting from Marina City's West Tower, about 588 feet high. He crossed above the Chicago River to the Leo Burnett Building in just under seven minutes, finishing 671 feet above the street. After he returned to the West Tower, he crossed to the East Tower blindfolded in one minute and 20 seconds. During the walk, Wallenda battled high winds as well as an uphill climb that equaled about eight stories. Through it all, Wallenda exhibited extraordinary balance skills.

Daily Balance Exercises Maximize Stability

Obviously, we all can not operate at the level Nik Wallenda in terms of balance abilities, but we all can improve steadiness with walking activities in our daily lives by performing balance exercises on a regular basis. A daily dose of equilibrium routines will noticeable enhance steadiness with walking, whether the terrain is a flat surface like a street, sidewalk or hardwood floors or on irregular surfaces like thick carpet or hiking trails. As an example, if you practice standing on one foot for twenty seconds three times in a row every day for several weeks, you will build strong balance reactions at your feet and ankles. Additionally, rehearsing a single leg standing routine will develop strong muscles in the calf, which are essential for adequate steadiness. thankfully, for us regular every day folks, now there is a professionally filmed exercise For Balance DVD developed by an experienced Physical Therapist which will help you practice specific steadiness routines in the convenience of your own home.
